alexis hatch

Director of operations

Alexis was born & raised in Bakersfield, ca where she was a four-year starter & 3-time sectional valley champion for the stockdale women’s soccer team. She then accepted a scholarship to cal state east bay where she played & graduated with her degree in communications.

Now, she is the director of operations for kenny hatch basketball, handling the responsibilities of managing the gym, scheduling clients for sessions, and creating a positive work environment for the players to grow. alexis designed, planned, and coordinated the building of court 44 in San Francisco and is excited to bring this specialized level of basketball training to the city.

Kenny Hatch

Kenny Hatch is a former 5-year professional basketball player. He began his basketball career at St. Ignatius, where he played 1 year of varsity basketball for the Wildcats. He then went on to play at Canada College, a junior college in Redwood City, where he led his team to the final four in 2015.

Kenny then earned a scholarship to play at Texas A&M International University, where he graduated with his degree in Accounting and won the 2017 Heartland Conference Championship. In 2018, Kenny went on to continue his basketball career internationally where he played professionally for five years in Spain & Italy. Kenny's basketball training focuses on fundamentals.

Kenny's journey has been anything but simple which has provided him with the knowledge and experience to be the best advisor. Kenny's expertise goes beyond basketball training and can help players accomplish their goals & gain the confidence needed to get their game to the next level.

MADDY HATCH IS A CURRENT 3-YEAR PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYER. SHE BEGAN HER BASKETBALL CAREER AT ST. IGNATIUS, WHERE SHE PLAYED 2 YEARS OF VARSITY BASKETBALL FOR THE WILDCATS. DESPITE TWO KNEE INJURIES AND SURGERIES, SHE STILL FOUND A WAY TO EARN A SCHOLARSHIP TO PLAY AT CAL POLY HUMBOLDT, WHERE SHE GRADUATED WITH HER DEGREE IN KINESIOLOGY WITH AN EMPHASIS IN PRE-PHYSICAL THERAPY. DURING HER TIME AT HUMBOLDT, SHE HELPED HER TEAM WIN THE 2018 CCAA CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP AND HAD TWO NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES IN 2018 AND 2019. MADDY IS IN THE RECORD BOOKS AT HUMBOLDT FOR 3-POINTERS MADE IN A SEASON.

IN 2021, MADDY WENT ON TO CONTINUE HER BASKETBALL CAREER INTERNATIONALLY WHERE SHE PLAYED PROFESSIONALLY FOR THREE YEARS IN SPAIN & ITALY, HELPING TWO TEAMS GET PROMOTED. IN THE 2022-2023 SEASON SHE AIDED HER TEAM IN WINNING THE ITALIAN a2 CHAMPIONSHIP, GETTING PROMOTED TO THE FIRST LEAGUE.

MADDY’S BASKETBALL TRAINING FOCUSES ON BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION. SHE POSSESSES AN EXPERTISE IN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING.  MADDY’S JOURNEY HAS EQUIPPED HER WITH THE UNDERSTANDING  OF HOW TO BEST OVERCOME ADVERSITY, NOT ONLY IN BASKETBALL BUT IN LIFE. SHE BRINGS THIS INTO HER BASKETBALL TRAINING  AND MENTORSHIP.

FURTHERMORE, MADDY IS TRAINED IN PRE-PHYSICAL THERAPY, ESPECIALLY IN INJURY PREVENTION, REHABILITATION, AND STRENGTH TRAINING. SHE IS CURRENTLY COMPLETING HER MASTERS IN KINESIOLOGY AT CAL STATE BAKERSFIELD. MADDY CAN AID PLAYERS IN MASTERING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF BASKETBALL AND GAINING CONFIDENCE TO OVERCOME WHATEVER OBSTACLES THEY MAY FACE.

Joe Carey

Player development coach

Joe Carey is a Bay Area native, having been born and raised in South San Francisco. Joe began his basketball career at Sacred Heart Cathedral, where he played varsity basketball. He then attended St. John’s University (NY), where he played on the club basketball team and graduated with his degree in Sports Management. Recently, Joe completed his Masters in Sports Management at West Virginia University.

Joe grew up in a family full of basketball coaches, and he brings 15+ years of coaching experience. Joe has coached in various basketball camps, youth leagues, CYO, AAU, high school, and adult leagues on both the men’s and women’s side. Joe is currently entering his 9th season at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, where he is the Head JV Boys Basketball Coach and the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach.

Joe emphasizes a strong foundation in the fundamentals to help each player unlock their basketball potential - both as an individual and within a team setting. His commitment to learning and improvement is unmatched, and he has a proven track record of helping players grow both and off the basketball court.

Myles Holmes brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our program. he currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator at St. ignatius high school. With a solid foundation rooted in Division I football, Myles is a former standout player at the University of Rhode Island, where his passion for sports and fitness began to flourish. Armed with a NASM Certification and GPA Global Certification in strength training, Myles is committed to fostering the holistic development of student-athletes.

His comprehensive approach to strength and conditioning goes beyond the physical aspects, emphasizing mental resilience, discipline, and teamwork. As a proud alum of the University of Rhode Island's Division I football program, Myles understands the unique challenges and opportunities that student-athletes encounter. This firsthand experience enables him to connect with athletes on a personal level, providing mentorship and guidance both on and off the field.

In his role as Assistant Athletic Director, Myles plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall athletic experience at Saint Ignatius High School. His leadership extends beyond the weight room, contributing to the strategic planning and execution of athletic programs. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for developing well-rounded individuals, Myles Holmes is a driving force behind the success of the Saint Ignatius athletic community.
