How to Build Explosive Speed for Basketball

Speed is a game-changer in basketball. Whether you're sprinting on a fast break, blowing by defenders, or closing out on a shooter, explosive speed can elevate your performance. Here’s how you can develop faster, more powerful movement on the court.
1. Strengthen Your Lower Body
 Your legs are the foundation of speed. Incorporate exercises like squats, lunges, and deadlifts to build strength and power in your lower body. Plyometric drills, such as box jumps and depth jumps, will also help develop quick, explosive movements.
2. Improve Your Acceleration
